Lisa Chung
Lisa is a Litigation Paralegal at Amber K. Boyd Law Firm.  She received her double B.A. in psychology and English literature from Indiana University and her A.A.S. in paralegal studies from Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana.  Her legal support experience includes personal injury law, elder law, creditor rights, and digital court reporting.  Lisa also had the privilege to serve fellow Hoosiers with their unemployment insurance claims during the height of the global Covid-19 crisis (2020-2022) at the Indiana Dept. of Workforce Development.
Lisa's varied career interests and personal zeal for learning have afforded her enjoyment of various, enriching professional roles such as securities trader, pharmacy technician, and court reporter; but no other role than the paralegal role has come close to the emotional rewards of helping others in their fight for legal justice.  Her passion for law was born from her strong political and cultural awareness cultivated early when she was a child, who along with her family, had immigrated from her birthplace of Hong Kong, China to the U.S. for a better life free of Communist tyranny.  Like other Americans who are blessed by the freedoms of her beloved adopted homeland, Lisa seeks to pay it forward so that others can be empowered to achieve the American Dream without regard to their race, sex, caste, or color.
For leisure, Lisa is a budding freelance writer of paralegal and court reporting topics.  Her first court reporting article entitled "Call Me Court Reporter!" was published in the AAERT website newsletter in February 2023.  Lisa also enjoys tutoring college paper writing and loves podcasts and TED Talks to stay abreast of AI, legal tech, neuroscience, and law.  Her favorite food is seafood.   Her favorite quote of all time is:  "It took me a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent." - Madeleine Albright, first-ever female U.S. Secretary of State.
